Rayner Whitlocke was born and raised on Lin Ranch, where his family had been working for generations. He grew up learning everything there was to know about taking care of animals, and he quickly became one of the most skilled workers on the ranch. When he wasn't tending to the animals, he was helping out with other tasks around the ranch, such as repairing fences or maintaining equipment.
